NOTICE
A special meeting of The Board of Trustees of Greenfield School will
hold a special meeting on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 @ 7PM.
The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss the possibility of altering the
current year school calendar in order to more fully line up with that of Fairfield.
This seemed to be one of the larger concerns of families at the community
meeting held on January 16, 2023. This includes the possibility of having no
school on February 3.
Correction to the Greenfield Stomp flyer. Donations need to be turned in Monday, January 30th!
Junior High Parents,
Reminder The 7th and 8th grade students are Ice fishing tomorrow in Bynum. We will leave the school at 8:15 and return by 3:15.
Remind them to dress warm for on the ice and to bring a bucket or small chair to sit on.
Breakfast menu switch for tomorrow 1/17. Instead of International muffins, breakfast will be cereal and yogurt.
Reminder: There will be a Country Cubs meeting tonight at 7PM. Open to all who would like to come.
The Greenfield Board of Trustees will have their regular board meeting on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Greenfield School. After regular business, at 7:00 pm the Board will move to a community meeting to discuss thoughts on moving to a 4-day school week. Board meetings are always open to the public, and community and parents are especially urged to attend this portion of the meeting.
Reminder: There will be a Country Cubs meeting being held Tuesday, 1/10 @ 7PM

We will be streaming tonight's Radio Christmas program on Facebook live tonight. Feel free to share the link with your family and friends who cannot make it to see it live and in studio!
The students have worked alongside Mrs. Toeckes to put together a fun and festive Christmas program. See you in the gym...I mean studio...at 7pm.
Change to our breakfast and lunch menus this week. Wed 12/14 lunch: Pulled Pork Sandwich and Roasted Vegetables. Friday 12/16 lunch: Pork Roast, Red Roasted Potatoes and Rolls
Thursday 12/15 breakfast: Scrambled Eggs and Ham.
Reminder for the assembly this coming Friday 12/16. We will be dismissing at 3pm and buses will run at this time as well.
Chocolate orders have arrived! Our little elves are working feverishly to get those sorted and out today 12/09! Just in time to send out before the holidays!
Reminder: Tomorrow we will be having a bake sale to help with the cost of the school ski trip. All items are under $2.
The 7th and 8th grade class is looking forward to the month of December and its upcoming events.
*In November we finished reading Touching Spirit Bear and we will start reading The Witch of Blackbird Pond in December.
*If anyone has any yarn or crochet thread that is unused or unwanted, we would appreciate it if we could use it in our upcoming art projects.

***Don’t forget about the upcoming bake sale days, Dec. 1st - 7th grade, Dec. 5 - 6th grade, Dec. 15th - 8th grade.
*On December 1, Secret Santa starts, so remember to bring a little gift like candy to put in your Secret Santa’s locker at least once a week.
*On December 5th we have fish art so you can bring a piece of clothing or an item to do it on unless you want to do it on paper.
*December 20th will be our class party so don’t forget to bring a gift under $10 for your Secret Santa.

Greenfield's Christmas program is coming up on Monday, December 19th @ 7PM. Students who want to audition to perform a solo or small ensemble of their own choosing at the concert need to audition with Mrs. Toeckes either Thursday, Dec. 1 or Monday, Dec. 5th. There is some time available during the school day, but if students are able to stay after school that would be great! Any questions please reach out to Mrs. Toeckes. Thank you!
Reminder: Parents dropping off children in the mornings please be aware that our buses will be dropping children off at that front sidewalk. Please do not park in their way use the back area of the parking lot to drop off your child. Thank you
Update made to the November calendar. 11/23 is scheduled to be a half day, that has been updated to be a full day off.
There will be no activity bus running Monday 11/14, Tuesday 11/15. Bus will run on practice days.
Also all basketball practice has been cancelled for this evening 11/09.
Reminder: Please make sure that your child has all the necessary winter gear coming to school. Boots, snow pants, hats, gloves, coats, etc. If they are not dressed appropriately they will not be able to go outside if we have an outside recess. Thank you
Reminder: Tuesday 11/08 is a half day with dismissal at 12:15PM followed by parent teacher conferences.
